If you’re a fan of barbecued chicken wings, then this honey garlic chicken wings Paleo recipe will be sure to satisfy. With summer grilling just heating up make sure to leave some room on your grill for this classic. It doesn’t get more Paleo than cooking up some meat over a fire. Serve these up with a big serving of vegetables and your meal is all set.
INGREDIENTS
3 lbs. chicken wings split with tips removed
1/3 Cup Honey
½ Large White Onion chopped
¼ Cup Water
¼ Cup Lemon Juice
2 Tbsp. Apple Cider Vinegar
2 Tbsp. Coconut Aminos
1 tsp. Garlic, Minced
¾ tsp. Ground Ginger
DIRECTIONS
1. Stir honey, onion, water, lemon juice, apple cider vinegar, coconut aminos, garlic, and ginger together over a medium heat. Cook until hot and let it simmer for about 5 minutes. Remove from heat.
2. Spread chicken wings in a shallow baking dish; pour the marinade over the wings. (Alternatively, you could place the wings in a large Ziploc bag and add the marinade then shake it until it is spread evenly.)
3. Place in refrigerator; leave in for at least 24 hours, overnight would give you better results.
4. Place Chicken wings on a hot grill, turning once after about 10 minutes depending on how hot your grill is. After about another 10 minutes, again depending on the heat, remove from grill. (Alternatively, you can lay them in a greased baking dish and bake for approximately 1 hour at 375 degrees F turning once, until meat is no longer pink and runs clear.)
5. Serve and Enjoy!
